- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆This experience was with only one officer due to an accident, I was hit by a drunk driver whilst parked in my car on side street. I somehow was written a ticket, I was not the drunk driver, I was not illegally parked. I paid the $320 ticket in complete disbelief and stumped still til this day why I was written a ticket being hit by a drunk driver no less while parked legally on side of the road. Absolutely disgusted by the "professionalism" by this one particular officer. Doesn't make me ever want to visit Vermont ever again. Ever since moved to Florida and not once have had a single problem since that awful night in that town, go north, Bennington is a nice town on the outskirts but "inner city" is pretty iffy and the police will write absolutely ridiculous tickets because you are an out of state driver.
